Any problem that is caused or influenced by equipment or services that are not owned and managed by ONS are not included in the Managed Server services. 

This can happen because the problem is not related to configuring, monitoring, updating, repairing and maintaining the server or the server's UPS. In such cases, we may be able to offer additional services to you on a time & materials basis in order to resolve the problem. 

If it is unclear that a problem may or may not be caused or influenced by some problem with the server, we will review all available information in our records and verify that all server functions are working properly.  If our review shows that the server is operating properly, we will inform you of this and provide you with any information we may have so as to help you identify and address the problem.  If there is a problem with the server, we will inform you,  correct it as soon as practical and notify you when the problem has been corrected.

Examples of tasks that are beyond the scope of Managed Server services are: DSL or telephone system troubleshooting, server relocation, data migration and conversion, disaster recovery, network planning, security analysis, virus recovery, firewall management, PC software configuration and installation.

Expanding the capacity or enhancing the performance of the server or the UPS by the addition or replacement of items such as CPU, memory, hard drive, DVD drive, additional modem or network cards are not considered to be maintenance included in the Managed Server services.  These items are considered system upgrades and may be available to you, depending on your exact configuration, at an additional cost to you.  Components of our equipment that fail or degrade in reliability in the course of normal wear and tear will be replaced by ONS at no additional cost to the you.
