Yes, local telephone service is an installation requirement. ONS uses the telephone line to be able to connect to the Managed Server when your Internet connection is not available.  This ensures that we will be able monitor and manage the server at all times.

If you are unable to dedicate a phone line, please discuss this with us during the pre-installation process so that we can discuss some possible alternatives with you.
