What protocols does the server support? E-mail

ONS servers provide users with these standard protocols:

 DNS Domain Name Service
 POP3 Email retrieval (SSL supported)
 IMAP4 Remote email access (SSL supported)
 SMTP Email server (AUTH, SSL supported)
 HTTP Web pages
 HTTPS Secure web pages
 SMB/CIFS PC file/print sharing
 NETBIOS PC Networking
 NTP Network Time protocol
 Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbits/sec)  RJ-45 LAN Networking
 Fax ITU Group 3 Fax, V.17, V.29, V.27ter, V.21 Fax send/receive from 2,400 to 14,400 bps
 CallerID * Automatic Calling Number Identification
 Distinctive Ring * Answer fax calls based on ring pattern

* In order to utilize these capabilities of the server, the corresponding feature(s) must be provided by your telephone service provider on the telephone line connected to the server.  Normally, your provider will charge a small additional monthly fee to provide you with these features.  We recommend that all customers use CallerID in order to identify the source of inbound fax calls.
