How can the disk capacity be expanded? E-mail

The base server comes with 100 GB of usable user space available.  This is implemented on two drives to form a RAID-1 mirror so that if one drive should fail, the system continues to run without data loss.  Due to reliability concerns, we do not configure systems where the base storage is unprotected, non-mirrored, storage.

The available storage can be expanded with up to 6 additional hard drives. Currently, we offer drives that are 120GB, 160GB, and 200GB. and can they be configured as either RAID-1 mirror (for higher data safety) or RAID-0 stripe(for higher capacity and performance). Each drive pair must have identical drives, but one pair may be different from the others.

Expansion options range up to 1300 GB (100GB base mirror + 1200GB RAID-1 stripe)

The highest all-mirror configuration is 700GB (100GB base mirror +  600GB expansion mirrors)

If you think you will need more than 100GB during the first year, it is most cost effective to purchase the additional storage you need with your initial Service Agreement rather than upgrade a few months later.

We can help you decide how much storage you need and give the drive configuration options and costs.
