Do I need to call ONS if something is not working? E-mail

It's not required for you to phone us, because we get an automatic notification of potential or actual problems with the server within three minutes. By the time you call, we are usually already aware of the issue and we are working to resolve it. The most common problem we see is that your Internet connection might temporarily fail.  In this case, the server will still operate as usual except that you will not be able to send or receive information to or from the Internet.  Should this occur, we will attempt to phone or fax you a notification for you to contact your ISP and report your outage.

If your Internet connection fails for an extended period, we also have the capability to use the backup modem capability to connect to your server using your fax line.  Since this would block your ability to send or receive faxes, we normally use this backup method only after business hours.
