If I terminate service, what happens to my data? E-mail

You will be notified 60 days prior to the end of your Service Agreement of the upcoming renewal and any changes to the terms, conditions, and costs.  If for whatever reason, you should decide to not renew your agreement, it is your responsibility to remove your data from the server.

However, upon request, ONS will copy all your data to another server or workstation at your location or a customer-provided USB hard drive(s) at no charge.  If you would like us to provide you with a USB hard drive(s) containing your data, we'll be happy to do this for the cost of the drive(s).  Please contact us for current pricing.

As a service to you, we will retain the ONS hard drives containing your data for up to 60 days after you terminate service.  At that time, or sooner if you authorize us in writing, we will wipe the hard drives and completely destroy the contents.  We wipe the hard drives clean using methods that make it virtually impossible for anyone, including ONS, to obtain any of the information they contained.

Important! Once the hard drives have been wiped clean, there is no way that we, or anyone else, can get your data back. It is critical that you ensure that your copy is good before instructing us to erase the hard drives from your server.
